Lynne's Learners

I wanted to honor the memory of my big sister, Lynne who passed away one year ago August 13, 2019. She had been a dedicated and selfless special needs preschool teacher for over 35 years. Like many teachers, Lynne often bought supplies for her classroom and students out of her own pocket. When I saw the date of the GTCUW Action Day this year I knew this was the ideal way to remember her, by helping others. I have been the United Way ambassador at work for over a decade and have seen the good that they do in our community first hand. I've participated in United Way Action Day, packing backpacks for local children in need for the past 5 years and my kids and I have always left the event inspired and uplifted. I know that we cannot help fill 40,000 backpacks in person this year but wanted to continue to help. Please join me!
